CALGARY — Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham has opened its 25th Canadian hotel property in Kanata, Ont., with plans to reach 75 properties by 2036.
MasterBUILT Hotels, a privately-owned hotel-development and investment company, has guided Microtel’s growth as Wyndham’s Canadian territorial manager since 2011.
The new property was built in partnership with the Eeyou Companee & Tawich Development Corporation, marking the eighth Microtel led by First Nation investors. Moving forward, all builds will feature a 76-room floorplan that gives owners options for pool and slide packages and The Lobby Bar & Lounge.
